Breathe Deeply

Take a 5-minute break and focus on your breathing. Do what works for you. Some people like to sit up straight while others like to be lying down. Breathe deeply and find a rhythm. You might toss in a few different breathing techniques like Belly Breathing or Mentally Scanning your Body or Rolling your Eyes Back on Exhales.

Get Moving

Move, just move. It might mean standing up at your desk. Perhaps a walk around the block. Yoga? Why not? No need to go Forrest Gump but moving releases “feel good” chemicals. People who regularly work out can’t wait for the release of endorphins. Move, just move.

Laugh Out Loud

A good belly laugh doesn’t just lighten the load mentally. It lowers cortisol – your body’s stress hormone, and releases endorphins. Pop up a silly video and laugh out loud.
